The Travel Career Institute of Florida was founded in 1991 by Paul Faulkner, a 30 year travel industry veteran. Previous positions held by Mr. Faulkner include: Regional Vice President Aero Mexico Airlines, Director Industry Affairs - ASTA, Chief Executive Officer of a 20 million dollar Travel Agency, Manager Travel Agency Sales for Eastern and Braniff Airlines, which included responsibility for the Travel Agent Training Schools. The School's founder saw the need for a streamlined, entry-level travel training program allowing a reasonable time and tuition investment in-line with starting a new career in a choice of travel sub-fields. Our comprehensive programs, in conjunction with on-going placement assistance, provide the potential for numerous entry-level travel positions.

President
The founder of the Institute, Paul is a 30 year travel industry veteran who has held several positions within the industry which allowed him to gather a vast reserve of Travel Industry knowledge. Paul has run a 20 million dollar Travel Agency, was a Regional Vice President with an International Airline, was Director of Industry Affairs for the American Society of Travel Agents, Manager of Travel Agency sales for two major airlines and ran the Travel Agent Training Schools for those two airlines. Paul has guided the Institute through many changes in our Industry in the last 9 years. Ensuring that proper and current training is provided to the Institute's students has been a priority. "If a graduate of the Institute is not productive in an Agency from day-one, then we have not done our job" is a slogan that has driven the Institute's training effort from the start. The Institute is here to provide new people entering the industry with the proper skills and attitude that will help them and their new employers be successful.
Director Computer Training
Maggie directs all training related to computer applications, world wide web, automation, and the Computerized Reservation System Amadeus. Maggie is a fully licensed Amadeus instructor. Previously Maggie was in charge of MIS for the UK operation of a large French perfume company.
Director of Home Study Program
Ruthie, a graduate of the institute, spent 3 years as a full time Travel Agent and 12 years with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Ruthie directs all aspects of the Home Study program.
